With a culinary upbringing in Mexico City, Luchador Taco & More owner and Chef Zuri Resendiz serves Mexican and traditional Latin food that is accessible to all.
In addition to a regional culinary resume that includes stints at Panzano, Cattivella, and Shanahan’s Steak House, Zuri’s accolades include recognition on Zagat’s “30 Under 30” (2015) and 5280 Magazine‘s “Best Food Trucks” (2023) lists; winner of the Hispanic Restaurant Association’s “Hispanic Top Chef” (2022), and winner of Food Network’s Chopped (2021), Guy’s Grocery Games (2018), and Supermarket Stakeout (2023).
Since 2022, Luchador Food Truck has been serving traditional Mexican favorites like quesa birria, taquitos, and asada tacos. Zuri’s brick-and-mortar location, Luchador Taco & More, will open soon in the Whittier neighborhood in Denver and feature the truck’s flagship tacos, along with rotating regional specials, like zucchini con queso, wild mushroom tostadas, and cochinita pibil.
