Denver Food + Wine Festival – shake + brake

LOGISTICS INFORMATION


Date: Thursday, September 5, 2024

Event Time: 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Load-in time: 4:00pm to 5:30pm (time slots will be assigned)

Place: Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus  (enter at 9th street)


Directions:

When you enter from 9th street off of Auraria Parkway, turn left onto Walnut Street. Follow Walnut down to the beginning of the Tivoli Quad and you will be directed to your spot. 


food trucks to provide:

  • Truck on site during the event, including generator for electrical needs, you will not have access to power
  • 500 appetizer-sized samples to serve from 7-10pm. We are working to secure product support for these samples. You can also sell a limited additional menu
  • Any equipment needed
  • Serviceware (plastic/paper plates, napkins, forks, etc.) We are working to secure partner support for serviceware.
  • Staff to man your truck (you can submit a request through the form above for ProStart student support
  • Any marketing material or truck décor you’d like to have to promote your truck
  • Gloves and a thermometer 
  • Valid food truck license for DENVER

DF+WF to provide you with:

  • (1) 8’ table with linen 
  • A voting bucket to hold “People’s Choice” poker chips when they vote for your appetizer. Each attendee gets one vote. There will be a prize, so bring your A game! 
  • $300 labor + product stipend (no product support for any additional items you sell)
  • We will have access to potable water, but it will not be hot. Please plan on bringing your own hot water to the event if you need it. 
  • Ice (if requested) 
  • Trash & recycling disposal
  • Colorado ProStart student support (if requested)
  • Marketing and promotion before, during, and after the event

Load-in Time:

You will have an ASSIGNED load-in timeframe between 4:00-5:30pm. Keeping in mind Denver health inspectors will be arriving at 6:00p.m. and your truck MUST be set up by this time. 

Load-in Gate:

The “Gated Vendor Entrance” will be accessed from 10th & Walnut Streets- directly across from the Tivoli Garage.


DAY-OF CHECK IN:

Please arrive BEFORE 5:30pm to ensure a smooth set-up procedure. Look for the restaurant check in desk at the vendor entrance. Each truck will be given up to 4 event wristbands at the vendor entrance, to be used by your staff. All staff must be 21 and older. IDs will be checked at the load-in gate, so please advise your staff to be prepared. We cannot hand out wristbands without a proper ID. It is your responsibility to determine your staffing needs.  

ALL TRUCKS MUST BE CHECKED INTO THEIR ASSIGNED BOOTHS AND READY FOR DENVER HEALTH DEPARTMENT INSPECTORS BY NO LATER THAN 11:45PM!


PARKING:

Parking for other cars will be available in the Tivoli Garage ($20) and surrounding parking lots ($15). Please try and carpool if you can. 

Mobile Food Truck Permit:

Every restaurant will need a Mobile Food Truck Permit VALID IN DENVER


REMEMBER TO BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

  • MOBILE FOOD TRUCK PERMIT
  • Gloves
  • Handcarts/Dolly (if needed)
  • Soap
  • Towels
  • Thermometer – required by health department
  • Décor/Promotional materials
  • PH Test Strips

(Please note that if you’re using wine bottle props as part of your décor, we respectfully request that you only use brands carried by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Colorado. Thank you for your consideration!)
