Jason Ganahl, founder G-Que Barbeque, is a celebrated figure in the world of barbecue. Jason has built a reputation as one of the most versatile pit masters in the country; there isn’t anything he hasn’t done in barbecue! As a competitor, he is a KCBS-certified barbecue judge and has won a combination of 19 Grand and Reserve Grand Championships in professional contests. Jason has earned perfect scores in every category, including for a Team of the Year award and induction into the RMBBQA Hall of Fame.
Following success as a competitor, Jason opened his first restaurant in Westminster, Colorado. Since opening, GQue has received countless “Best of” awards and has been featured on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. G-Que now has seven locations in the Front Range, including Empower Field, home of the Denver Broncos, and Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies. In 2024, G-Que earned a place on the list of the top 75 Fast Casual Brands in America.
Jason’s influence extends beyond the kitchen, too, as he shares his knowledge and passion with a wider audience; he’s taught thousands of people through his cooking classes, demonstrations, and media appearances. Jason’s first cookbook is expected in spring 2025, distributed by Simon & Schuster.
Jason has a popular YouTube Channel with millions of views, and serves as an essential guide for both novice and experienced pitmasters through the Rocky Mountain Region. When not working, Jason enjoys watching college football, spending time with his wife, four kids, three dogs, and two cats in Lonetree, Colorado.
