In June 2020, amidst the widespread closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, David Right took to his lifelong passion of food and created Right Cream out of his home kitchen.
Although David is not a classically trained chef, his whimsical approach to ice cream has propelled him to being one of the most successful ice cream entrepreneurs in the nation. His assortment of ice cream is constantly evolving, with new flavors introduced weekly.
As of 2024, David has won multiple awards for his creations, including being named in Westword as Denver’s Best Ice Cream/Gelato Shop 2022, Denver’s Best Ice Cream/Gelato Shop 2023, and featured in multiple local and national media publications, including Food & Wine magazine.
David is a Colorado boy: You can find him foraging for wild asparagus and mushrooms on the weekends while he enjoys the wonderful cultural influences the Colorado food-and-beverage industry has to offer — which definitely influence some of his ice creams!
