Chef Siri Tan grew up in Burma, and moved to Thailand in 2007. He came to Denver in 2014 after a brief stint in California. A visit to Farmer Superstar, a Burmese restaurant in San Francisco, and the wealth of Asian cuisine in Los Angeles, inspired him, and after noticing how few unique Asian restaurants there were in Denver, Siri decided to do something about it. He and his brother Martin opened Urban Burma, the first Burmese restaurant in Colorado, at Mango House in Aurora in 2019, and launched their food truck in 2021. Siri is excited to share the flavors of his native country with his neighbors in Denver.
