For over 30 years, Shin Myung Gwan Korean BBQ has remained devoted to preserving the true essence of Korean cuisine. Rather than taking shortcuts, every dish is prepared step by step with care—because authenticity takes time, patience, and heart.

At the center of this vision is owner Hannah Cho, who insists on sourcing seasonings directly from Korea to ensure that every flavor speaks of its origin. Her philosophy is simple yet profound: food should be both honest and heartfelt, connecting people not only to tradition but also to one another.

Our talented chefs, Seong Nam Park and Seil Kim, bring mastery and passion to the kitchen, honoring time-honored techniques while sharing the warmth of Korean hospitality. Beyond the restaurant, Shin Myung Gwan is also deeply engaged with the community, teaching classes at the Aurora History Museum and introducing the beauty of Korean food and culture to the wider public.
