Jonathan Flowers is a bartender and jack-of-all-trades at the Denver Press Club, the oldest press club in the United States. Denver’s Club was founded in 1867 and is housed in its 1925 clubhouse on Glenarm Place; it’s the home of more than 600 journalists, broadcasters, PR pros, lawyers, politicians, and other oddballs. The Denver Press Club exists to foster and further the work of the free press, and the honest and open discussion of the issues of the day are encouraged in an environment of respect and dignity. It’s also earned a reputation for a heavy pour in its 150+ year history. Jonathan history is a little more recent, having moved to Colorado from Virginia in 2016. Besides tending bar, Jonathan does some reporting of his own.
