Scott Ruggiero has over a decade of restaurant and bar experience starting from a neighborhood bistro, advancing to running prestigious bar programs in Kansas City and Colorado. His focus on education led him to become a Certified Sommelier, earn a Certified Spirit Specialist Certificate, and complete the Bar 5 program. In addition to his certifications, Scott has competed in many cocktail competitions, making regional and national finals along the way. Most recently, Scott was the bar manager of Death & Company Denver.
When he’s not shaken things up behind the bar, he spends his time on the golf course, walking his 16 year old pup or taking adventures with his wife Shelby. The two met while working at sister restaurants in Boulder and tied the knot in September of 2023. Now they are creating the cocktail bar of their dreams in Uptown called Yoshi, a neighborhood cocktail bar and highball lounge inspired by their travels abroad.
