Executive Chef Devin Rachles discovered his passion for food growing up in rural Florida, where time in his great-grandfather’s garden and weekends at barbecue competitions sparked a lifelong love of cooking. He began his culinary career at 17, working in kitchens across Florida and developing a style influenced by Southern traditions, global flavors, and seasonal ingredients.
After relocating to Colorado in 2019, Devin refined his craft at several of Denver’s most respected restaurants, including Barcelona Wine Bar and Goed Zuur. Today, as Executive Chef at Joy Hill, he leads the restaurant’s culinary program with an ingredient-driven approach that celebrates wood-fired cooking, naturally leavened dough, and Colorado’s seasonal bounty.
